DALLAS, May 29 (UPI) -- Southwest Airlines passengers will soon be able to travel with their pets at a cost of $75 on the U.S. carrier.
Southwest Airlines Co., which has bashed competitors for charging fees, said Friday it will add new fees for passengers who bring small pets onboard and for unaccompanied minors.
Southwest Airlines says it will let passengers carry small dogs and cats onboard for a $75 fee each way. Pets must be in a carrier that fits underneath the seat, and the carrier will count as the customer's carryon bag.
