Puppies galore at Pets Lifeline (Sonoma Index-Tribune)

Pets Lifeline was greeted with a noisy surprise Monday morning, when 16 puppies showed up at the shelter. Two dogs had given birth to eight puppies each in Lake County, where no shelter was equipped to deal with so many.

Recently, Marshall Mayor Connie Latimer announced that Marshall's animal shelter opted to waive the fee for dropping off an animal. This was in hopes that people who could no longer afford to care for their pets would take them to the shelter instead of letting them starve.
